You’ve got to be extremely careful, because you could be with a great team, and you could be the product of a great team. There are some players that stand out despite the teams that they play on, and there are some players that are good because of the team that they’re with. – Marcus Allen

Life and business are like the changing seasons. It gets wet, then cold. It gets cold, then wet. It doesn’t matter which side of the coin you find yourself on today, there is always a promise of a better tomorrow, an awesome future but only if you do the work required.

I have come across two main kinds of people; the ones who do the work and earn no reward and those who don’t and are content with nothing. It is a different world today. It is a connection economy. You don’t get paid for just what product you can create, you get paid for how many people you can reach and touch with your idea, your product, your story.

Here is what makes great entrepreneurs  great; they don’t just sell a product, they tell a story… And oh boy, a customer loves a good story.

Today I am sharing ideas on personal development, entrepreneurship, sales, marketing and storytelling.

Let’s get kicking…

1. ARE YOU OFFERING ADVICE TO SOMEONE? USE THESE TWO WORDS AND THEY WILL LISTEN TO YOU MORE

Advice they say cost as much as you paid for it, so it is not surprising many people don’t take the well meaning advice that in our opinion should and would improve the way they already do things. The truth is, most people don’t like being told what to do; they want to show the world, their investors, their peers that they are the ones in charge, so they ignore advice, even if it is good advice. But what if you knew the right way to put an advice that will make it sound less as an advice and more like a vote of confidence in the decisions of the person you intend to advise? These two words will get people listening to you more… Read more

2. 7 THINGS ABOUT ENTREPRENEURSHIP THEY DIDN’T TEACH YOU IN SCHOOL

” The truth is that neither Steve Jobs nor Bill Gates dropped out of school to loaf around and play League of Legends all day”.

Of course it is always easier said than done, so a lot of people are not aware of the full commitment, implications and trauma involved when they say ‘I want to start my own business’. Entrepreneurship is more the art of finding an opportunity (which is not always so obvious) embeded in the solution to a problem.

It is not always a promise of an awesome future. It is not all cut and dry. You have to first get rid of the notions that really have nothing to do with the art of entrepreneurship Read more

3. HERE IS WHY YOUR BUSINESS ISN’T SUCCESSFUL AND HOW YOU CAN CHANGE THAT

” Messaging is just words and pictures: It won’t convince anyone of anything. But the more you support the messaging with evidence, the more credible your story becomes, and the more people spread it”.

Every business needs a message; a message to attract a customer, a message to create a bond.

Every message needs a story. A story is the best message you can sell because everybody loves a story and every story creates a striking bond that is forever remembered.

Your business strategy is great, you have a product that solve a problem. Now you need a great story to make a brand that sells.

Here is why your business’s message is failing and how to fix it Read more

4. HERE IS HOW THIS ACCRA RESTAURANT USES WHATSAPP TO KEEP 6,000 CUSTOMERS COMING BACK

” Businesses get the greatest return on investment when customers think of WhatsApp as a two-way communication channel”.

In the past 48 hours, the biggest talk of the town (the internet town) was whatsapp’s new update that scraps the traditional text status updates. The many arguments I’ve read reminds of one key statement the has changed mobile communication.

“We are going to make a phone that has only one button”. That was Steve Jobs in the pre-iPhone era and you know how that ended.

Whatsapp is going to change how we do business in our local circles and globally. You can see it as it is now or you can follow the trend to discover the awesome opportunities it promises Read more

5. ADVICE FROM A DYING 24 YEAR OLD

“It is difficult for me to fully express my feelings about the importance of these simple realizations, but I hope that you will listen to someone who has experienced how valuable time is”.

Life is but a brief moment in the time of things. It is no slave to anyone, circumstance or place, once you have it, you are the master of everything between time. Read more
